For all things AoS!

I suggest learning to read before making an account here.

It's not immaturity at all. The people in the strike have quite a few good reasons of doing it. And, as he/she said, the strike will indeed be effective. If more senior players join the strike, AoS will be closer to having only noobs and hackers left in its gamer population, and that's not what the developers want at all.

Note: Suggesting you don't know me, I've been in AoS for awhile now. (I rarely use the forums) Anyway, sorry I didn't read it all the way-- Oh wait I did. First off, the reason was somewhat immature. Secondly, it is not effective by much. Why? Games were designed to >Have fun<. Sure some "Senior Members" could pull out BUT, you STILL have players playing. Noobs or not it doesn't make a huge difference. Also Last of S: Striking for faster release dates is... In my mind, better than striking for something free. When you said "until the next update" I thought you meant you weren't going to play anymore (Since I thought the next update was going to be 1.0).

Well, I really haven't played since April, or maybe May, when the Kommies invited me for a bit of an impromptu match. I did fairly crap in that, and the hackers and griefers, as well as the lag have made me feel like not playing. I think the Minit Whitelist is a good idea for having no hacker and no griefer servers.

Oh damnit you guys, I stopped reading this rant-feast after around page two.

I have many many steaming arguments about this thread. I am only going to list two,

First of all, that "strike" crap that you guys have going on makes me want to scream. Yes, lets try to make this game not as fun for the people that still want to play this game. That makes sense. Well guess what ass holes, I would rather play with a soo-called "CoD noob" then play with people that are like "OMG DA RIIIFLE HAZZ NOO ACCURATCY, I WANNT RIEFLE ONLEY, THIS GAMMME SUKCKKS"
Ben is not ruining the game. The soo-called "CoD noobs" are not ruining the game. You guys are. I have half a mind to quit the forums and just play the fking game.

Second point,

Go to any other game out there, free or paid, and you will see hackers, it's unavoidable. You think Ben is ruining this game, by adding new features, well if adding new features is bad we would still be using MS-Dos, because people were sure enough happy with MS-Dos. Most people hated when the graphical interfaces came out. But now? %85 percent of the population of computer users have never even used a command line. Ok ok, you are not happy with this game and how it is going, but there is no grey area. Eather play, or Get. The. Hell. Off. Of. Our. Forums. There are many many other free FPS games out there. Go play them. And see how you like it when you find out they are either not even being updated, or going from bad to worse with updates.

God Damn it, stop taking this so seriously, its a GAME for god sakes. When it comes down to it, it is all about the game

Ben is ruining this game by not fixing the core existing problems of this game and trying to mask that by adding new features. The lag, or rifle accuracy or the shotgun's overwhelming weakness is an example of that. This is why everyone is complaining.

The only one making a big deal out of this is you. They are 'striking' until the next update, (long overdue and going live in a few days possibly, though I won't be surprised if it's delayed indefinitely) or until the lag is fixed (because they have no choice).
Quit your crying. You said it yourself, it's just a damn game.

You mean like AoS?

I have never had lag problems and I like the weapon balancing. It is all a matter of opinion.

I am only complaining about you guys complaining.

Actually, lag isn't a matter of opinion. That's bullshit. Just because you don't lag doesn't mean it's not there. And the weapons aren't balanced.
Is anyone hurting you by striking? I don't think so. People want to show their feelings, and I have to say that there is a large number of people who are unofficially striking. Myself included. These guys are just bringing attention to that fact. People aren't enjoying 0.75, and they want to show it.
I don't know where you play, but on every server I go on, teamwork is as dead as the dinosaurs. All you see is a bunch of mindless run and gunners. This is the problem. There isn't any cooperation, just a bunch of people trying to get kills, and not caring to help, or work with, others. This is by far my main gripe.

Lag is a matter of opinion. Some people here consider 100 ping bad. Some people consider that really good. I have no problems on 150-200 ping servers. If I don't have problems on those servers and you guys do, then thats opinion.

And guys, stopping, standing up, and typing something to your teammates is NOT a good way to encourage teamwork, it just encourages hostiles to take pot-shots at your face. We need, at the very least, a key we press and a menu comes up where he can select commands, like callouts to you squad, "im wounded" etc, markers etc. And we need to be able to heal other players.

Without this, we can't have any teamwork.

Care to explain why a group of coordinated players, with actual tactics and a good amount of skill does not equal teamwork?
