When is this going to get released?

I NEED TO KNOW. NOW!

BTW, love the gun changes.

I like everything except for the rifle accuracy and the less neon players. When will .76 come out?

0.76 will be tested tonight, according to Ben. However, I have no clue about the public release.

Rifle clip-sized reduction, ammo count reduction AND damage falloff?

Ben ...

Eh, well, I'll still probably be making fog-line headshots anyway, especially since the accuracy is reverting back. We'll see ... things might not be as bad as I think they might be. /optimisim

Wait, so it'll be like the 0.75 version - i.e. people will be able to download the RC version of the game and test it, right?

EDIT: Has anyone noticed that there aren't any changes to SMG's accuracy?

Maybe the lower headshot damage and lower block damage is a good enough buff?

Right now, I love every single aspect of this update, but what did Ben mean by making the players "less neon"?

I don't get it.

The damage falloff is not necessarily going to happen, it's up to you guys as the beta testers to submit feedback about the balancing. If most everyone thinks damage falloff is crap, Ben's not going to add it in.

I'm all-up for damage falloff.

Great game addition, if you ask me.

Well it depends. I believe Ben has damage falloff planned for the Shotgun and probably the SMG, but he was also planning to make fog headshots with the Rifle impossible. That's the part that may not be taken so well. I'm not entirely sure if he's following through with that, though. Again, this is a beta test of a... beta test, it's up to the testers which features make it into the game and which are bad ideas.

I don't get it.

It will most likely be the RC version of the game, seeing as to how they did it with 0.75. But I've no clue, just a guess.

In an earlier update Ben made a massive GUI overhaul changing much of the GUI and changing the player colours from what you can see in the old forums (similar to Minit servers) to the colour it is today. The colour was extremely bright or "neon" and many people complained so it appears Ben is changing the colour to be less bright and more like the original colour.

It won't be.

Fog-Distance Headshots are part of the game and is the claim of fame for many people, myself included. Instead of dumbing the game down for the "n00bs" who make the erroneous mistake of suicide charging into an open field, here's my suggestion to the ones who keep getting "fog-shotted" (my official new word for a fog-distance kill): BUILD SOME GODDAMN COVER AND/OR DIG. There. Problem solved. That's what the blocks and spade are for, gentlemen.

If you refuse to build and/or use cover, which IS one of the main aspects of this game (or at least it was before people named "Rambo", "007", "xXxn00bSlayerxXx" or people like them got their little hands on it and became the majority), you really have no right to complain about those who have skill, much less to have any kind of voice to take some of that skill away.

I know this is only a beta and ONLY a beta, but instead of putting mind-power on that, Ben should spend more time thinking about ways to combat the ABSOLUTELY RAMPANT GRIEFING. Seriously, I can't think of a server where someone doesn't start demolishing team structures within 10 minutes at most.

*Sigh* ... sorry about that rant there, BOOYOO. :-/ Although this may be a dumb thing to ask considering the above tirade, but how does one get into the Beta? It's probably already full or I'm not applicable, but I figured it would be worth asking.

This certainly looks really, REALLY interesting. I just don't like how unespecific he was with the damage fall-off (how much?Where does it start?). But yeah, I guess we will discover it in the RC :)
I will probably try to make a video of the .76RC. I just hope they use a better map for it, I never liked that much the map they used last RC. =L

Well, I think it will be like the last one: If you have the link, you're in.

Oh man! This update has got me stoked! The only thing I am worried about is not getting headshot kills at fog range, but we will see, maybe the damage falloff does not apply to headshots :)

How do we get this link? Does Ben pick some people and invites them, or is it first come first serve?

I'd personally be fine with damage falloff, unless it takes away the one-hit-kill headshots from the rifle. That would upset me and a large number of other people.
