At Which Point Would You Buy AoS?

For all things AoS!

Have you ever played Minecraft or Skyrim? Both are full of bugs and both have literally millions of sales.

AEM wrote:Yes I do know how much work it is to make a game and how much coding you have to learn and write. I wrote in HTML a website without dreamweaver (helps you make websites) in notepad.

With all due respect, you cannot compare writing HTML to creating AoS. C++ is a totally different kettle of fish to HTML.

AEM wrote: I'm just saying that the bugs will have to be patched if any sale is to occur rather than focusing on adding helicopter, crates,....

Again, look how many sales Minecraft got whilst still in beta.

Although I do agree there's some bugs in the game that really do need attention (e.g. bullet detection.)

I used HTML as a example of personal experience. And yes as i said i know how hard it is to make games, even a simple flash game. I've seen 3d fps games made by my friends in python and java consisting of over 8 pages of coding with only very basic features!

I have minecraft and been playing for well over a year now and I have never recalled having frequent lag spikes in single or multiplayer. There are bugs in AoS like getting a headshot and the person still running around, but I have never experienced a bug as of Minecraft Beta 1.3 where when a click to place a block and nothing or a creeper won't kill you when it explodes in your face. Keep in mind Minecraft had few major glitches but a lot of minor ones. Ex. "Mushrooms are generated on bedrock layer in The Nether." (Source: Minecraftwiki)

Easily readable in-game chat
Some way to heal yourself/restore ammo
Perfect weapon balance (aka shotgun goes back to the way it was when first introduced and SMG go back to .70 version)
1024x768 is made standard resolution again
Improved sound engine
Improved Grenade kill radius
multiple 24/7 gen maps or large custom maps (no more assault and pinpoint)

At that point I would be willing to pay up to 15 dollars.

Please, GrumpyApple, do not double post. That's what the EDIT button is used for.

PS: After you finish merging GrumpyApple's posts, could a moderator please delete this?

Then why bother merging GrumpyApple's posts?

Because that is a double post. And I wrote that so a moderator could delete MY post, I wasn't adding anything to the thread(just as we are doing now =P), just giving advice so GrumpyApple doesnt do this again.

I would pay for it in it's current stage if I had to, but I think it would be more worth my money if a few more things were added, such as a real menu, major lag fixes, and a few other things.

I think we found someone who still hasn't heard of OpenGL.

openGL isn't an exactly an engine.
It's just what they are using to make the voxels on sprites 3D.
Still relies on voxlap for most of the code.
otherwise it wouldn't exactly support voxlap, voxed, or any of those tools for voxlap. and they would have to code the game all over again, from scratch. which seems like quite the amount of effort.

Vehicles, Secondaries, Game menu, Server list, and add-ons for your guns. In example, a 3-9x32 scope for the rifle. Oh, also no lag and everything offered in the 1.0 version.
