The future of gaming (And other stuff)

Postby lehma18 » Mon Jun 25, 2012 3:43 am

Imagine connecting yourself into a machine, which moves your mind temporarily into a matrix-like virtual reality where you play games, or spend some quality time with smoking hot women. Imagine the blocky battlefields of AoS, and you controlling the characters 100%. That's the future, man.

ITT: Speculation of all the amazing technology the future may or may not have.

I'd never do this.

Could you imagine getting your mind hacked? You'd be screwed for life.

Hate to say this, but the future is a no no. Fancy technology become more complicated to use and maybe at times, even more dangerous.

Today's technology like wireless controllers and 3D Gaming is perfect and things can't really get anymore complicated.

Shots would be less accurate. What if they implemented real pain?

Ahh, aiming guns isnt that hard. Well it depends on how heavy and long the gun is. Smg are easy snipers are hard unless you rest them on something.

I personally like gaming the way it is now. I dont want it to change in any way except for maybe adding more buttons and nobs onto controllers+graphics and hardware stuff changing as always.

Well, theyre already working on moving everything you need to do at home that isnt real work onto the consoles, and then making it all voice controll to ad an incentive. The voice controll takes those small actions, like clicking a button a bunch of times to start a movie, away and therefore less calories get burned while watching movies, starting games, starting the console its self, and turning things off, and lets not forget about things that were moved from the computer to the console like checking email, and other things on the internet. Typing uses much more clories than using a controller, keep that in mind. This will probably be a lot worse than you would thing because those calories that you would usually use doing other stuff are now stored as fat build up and people dont know where its comming from and then more people get fat and then more shows about weight loss. what happens from there is all un predictable because it relies on humans reactions to more shows about weight loss.

I don't see any advantage in doing anything, that can be done on a PC, on a console. Browsing the internet must be painful with an analog stick, and so must be typing anything. I even prefer PC gaming, due to several reasons, such as using whatever controller you want and playing almost every game. I doubt voice control will be used in the near future, given that it's very imprecise now. And about the whole "calories" thing, are you even serious?
The difference is extremely minimal, if you don't do exercise and play games all day, you will probably get fat regardless of the interface of the device you're using.

I was going to have an intelligent response, but it seems like you don't care about that as much as my spelling errors.

If you scrolled down just a bit, you would have seen that I do care about the subject.

NO! JUST NO! The future of gaming is finding a cake and realizing it's a game controller. You eat it. You win. You become fat....
