Setting a world record?

This FPS set a record for the most players on one server which is 999.

We should do this for Ace of Spades.

[16:33:50] <bcoolface> we could probably do it
[16:34:02] <bcoolface> with a modified client/server
[16:34:29] <bcoolface> and honostly it wouldn't be that much bandwidth


Anyone support this?

/Support as well.

They should do this as a big event to celebrate the next release, with it's new engine and features.
The player limit should be 1001 just so it's over what they got. This would generate a lot of publicity for the game.
It should be on a gen map, and the devs should join in as well.

Sounds like a great idea, I can't imagine how crazy it will be. Setting up a huge WW1 charge would hilariously epic.

Well, there would be only 1 server. Since already 1000+ people play at 1 time on multiple servers, why would be it different with that same 1000+ people on just one server.
