If it does, me being on the old forums will finally pay all the way off. Though, once I do get a Credit Card/Pay-pal, I would donate if there was an option to.

Boo, I had a different name in the old forums :/

Doesn't matter anyway. I'll try my best to purchase the game.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

why not just add fly the download link? I think you get around $4.00 every 1000 views, and if you have something around 1,684,423 downloads, that equals up to 6000 - 7000 thousand dollars. If it meant i didn't have to pay, id be all up for it.

I think, and this will not solve the p2p problem completely, that Ben should create some type of AoS merchandise. Im sure some people would be willing to buy shirts, hats, coffee cups, mouse pads, water bottles, pencils, etc. to support the AoS development. If AoS still goes p2p this could also lower the price.

I'm already playing not much. Because I know that ben will ask money for the game. It kinda ruins the atmosphere AOS has. I agree the community runs AOS.

I have no problems whit Advertisement and Donation button. AOS needs allot of work to actualy be worth buying.I really appreciate bens hardwork. But I hope that this game can thrive on a community based way.

Asking money will split this great community.

Id pay for this game.

It's been his choice to work on it as much as he has. He doesn't work on it as much as you'd think. .75's been out for months, but they posted a demo video of the full version on YT the other day. Remember he has his own life to tend to, so all that "hard work" is on his own time. Why do I put the quotation marks there? Because he probably enjoys working on the game (which he should). I think as long as you enjoy your work it won't be that hard.

I posted about this in the other thread, yet you think that changes nothing. We're giving our own opinion. As another user said, there's a difference between being cheap and not wanting to waste money. As I said, if you have a problem with us giving our own opinion, you're better off leaving the forums.

Unless Ace of Spades had better support, functionality, and gameplay than Team Fortress 2 (Which is Free to Play)...

I would not buy it.

Oh, really? It definitely looks like you're having a problem with people giving their opinion on this subject. What you said basically is saying we shouldn't be making an issue of Ace of Spades becoming pay to play. When, really, we can whether we want to or not. So, yes, you are having a problem with people's opinions.

Anyway, hopefully Ben would consider using advertisements as a means to profit from the game.

You just got a 5 kill-streak, please hold and watch this advertisement before you can continue...

Yes be specific of advertisements. Ingame advertisements would suck but advertisements on forums and aos website would suck. But if there was only one advertisement like when you start the game and it was like 10 seconds it would not be as bad as while playing an advertisement pops up.

TL;DR I'm a cheap bastard who probably still spams Minecraft videos on youtube asking for free access.

If you can't fork over 10 dollars for a game that's so endeared to you, you obviously don't value it enough. I know I sure won't be forking over 10 dollars for the absolute embarrassment AoS has turned into.

Edit:
Airsoftr wrote:there's a difference between being cheap and not wanting to waste money.

If you are deriving utility from something that someone else has created, it is not a waste of money. The fact that you belittle Ben's work so much is really kind of offensive. I hate what the guy has done with his game but I still acknowledge it would be hard work. If it's so easy to do, why don't you just reverse engineer the game and play it for free offline, kid? Oh right, because you don't want to work that hard for something that Ben is pricing as cheaply as 10 dollars.

I changed my mind, you're just a colossal -snip-... damn 10 year olds get off my internet...

I'd pay if I could cause I hate paying online, I don't know why, but it would hurt the community less than it would hurt how the game would progress. And the progression will slowly lead to more and more players. It could take a long like a year or more, maybe less, but hey this could lead to Ben having a big company and make AoS Play for free. Ads cost moneys bro so I would say to start a donation system now and for all the donated X amount would get game for free and possibly other stuff. I'm pretty sure there are people in this community who are willing to pay for AoS.
