1-Year Anniversary

June 8th marks 1 year I've been apart of the community (1 day late doesn't matter). Not important by any means, but somewhat significant, as most don't last 3 months. So happy anniversary AOS, and everyone who's spent significant time in the community.

To legitimize this thread, share your favorite stories from in-game and in the community, or what you were doing a year ago today.

I had just learned slab 6 and begun work on the first iteration of my Super Metroid mod, this forum didn't exist, and the summer was the hottest I'd ever experienced. Everyone shat bricks when first word of the SMG got out. Drama out the ass.

So yeah, memories, share them!

Seriousness now, well I've been part of this not so very long, but I'm still happy. Memorable moments include getting my arse kicked by a team filled with Komrades, and on forums arguing about why the rifle has not been buffed in the 0.75 update.

A year ago I was enjoying doing hundreds of headshots with the rifle.
I rarely get the same pleasure these days.

Yeah, it shows great hope for the community when people stay around for a year or more even with all of the 'drama', as you said. Well, I registered on the forums on April 28th, hopefully we'll be seeing the same faces in another year to come.

cool,,,cool anniversary. I think I also joined the forum somewhere around April 28th last year. I remember when the custom maps were first added, I liked that one cave map and bridgewars was pretty funny
