For all things AoS!

why not when auto update happens, you can keep your old skin, so you don`t have to download the skins every update. when auto updating it should ask whether to keep the old custom or the classic AoS skin, you should press Y or N

I'm worried about how this is going to look. I don't want something too fancy, but I don't want a basic, unappealing interface.

I'm undecided about these mock-ups (the quality of the mockups are nice, but I'm not sure of the content).
Firstly as LoS said - letter spacing, but that's small and slightly insignificant.
Other things - overuse of the same colour. It all seems green, too much green >.<
Sizing. I would rather see something that slightly deviates from the 'cute blocky theme' in order to give decent information and looks in a GUI. The font is nice for certain things, but the play page.. it's giving less information than you currently get due to its over-sizing. It might just be the font or even your chosen theme/styling choices, but I'm not too sure about it.

That said, I'm the guy who sides with the 'old font looks better'.. Don't see the need to make this twee. I started to made my own mock-ups a while back, they're very different to yours: Front page / Play page. I think mine are far from perfect, but you can see I'm going down a completely different styling route because I don't really like the 'cute blocky' style..
I mean, it's a war game, it's not meant to be cute. :S

<@mikuli> the bad part in this plan is that it involves an already busy tea-drinking scone chomper with a monocle

I like your mockups. And your sentiment is quite agreeable. The font goes with the background nicely, and it has that murky kind of feel that sits well with what AoS is, a war game.

Probably not the best for a depressed person who just lost his job, car and home, but I find it really nice.

It looks amazing, the only complain i can think of is the main screens background. Should have used the logo of AoS for it, but it's only minor. Again, looks amazing.

Your mockup is depressing.

But I agree with some of what you are saying.

TheGrandMaster's looks great, I would just say you should remove a bit of the shadowing on the edges, keep a shadow, but just nothing this dark. also, work on the spade logo, it looks very weird and uneven. but otherwise, it is great
