No More Announcements?

There used to be an option to make your post an announcement (in a thread that you moderate), and it was really helpful for distinguishing important stuff such as rosters (as stickies) and something like "Clan Match This Saturday!" as an announcement. Just wondering why it was removed.

Apparently they were removed because some people abused their powers by making Global Announcements.

Its ok. Its way back on page like 5 in forum suggestions. I had to look a long time before I found it in "View your posts".
