The future of AoS

For all things AoS!

The future of AoS

Postby FreeFall » Wed May 16, 2012 1:38 pm

Alright, first off, this is my first forum post, so i'm a bit nervous.

As we all know, there have been several groups of people on the facebook page and around the forum who are suggesting ideas for new content to be added to the game, such as mortars, tanks, helicopters, ect.

No.No no no no no.

The reason a lot of us like AoS is because how simple it is!You have three guns, blocks, a shovel, a couple grenades and that's it. I don't want this game to just slowly morph into Battlefield or CoD over a period of time. Sure, there are some things that could be added to the game( i love he new ammo/health pack idea, and the new launcher is looking great), but we don't need to go all out and make it 8-bit MW3.

Please leave a comment sharing your opions and feedback, it would really help.

While the game is fun while it's simple, it gets boring.

What is wrong with Battlefield anyways? I always thought it was the epitome of Teamwork in FPS's?

true dat.
Perhaps AoS should take some pointers from games such as ArmA and Battalion Wars 1/2?

No.

AoS + more guns = pandering to the CoD kiddies = you can duck right off.

AoS has 3 guns. At first I was like "O EM GEE THIS IZ TEH BEST GAEM EVAR!"

Now I am like "... No assault rifle, no sniper rifle, no HMGs, no rocket launchers, no way to get ammo/health without going back to the tent, no fun :/"

This stuff will certainly add to the game!

BTW Congratulations on joining the forum! Remember to read the rules, it will save your butt. Trust I know these things...

I liked it when Aos has just one gun, and the shovel and the pickaxe. It was simple. When there will be moaar and moar guns, aos will loose his flair.

Oh don't get me wrong, i love both games, im just saying Battlefields style of gameplay just doesn't seem right for AoS, though teamwork does make a multiplayer FPS

Again: I love BF, It's up there with one of my favorite games, i just don't think the style of gameplay (such as jets, tanks, and helicopters) would be good for AoS. Sure, we'd enjoy it for a while, but still there is a good chance it might give one team an overpower advantage.

Arma has the most teamwork you will ever find in a Multiplayer game, ever, its as simple as that.

You need to own a god damn Nasa computer to run it though.

The older ones (Arma: Gold and Arma: Cold War Assault, which you can get on Steam/GOG/other places) run on almost any modern day computer

The Reason i Support Boats, Helicopters, other guns, and health/ammo packs, because well it would add more gameplay variety. So far its just, Build, Destroy, Aim, Shoot, Dead, then Respawn and repeat. Sure some people go for the intel here and there and there is a couple new gamemodes, but people just get tired of the gun types, Maybe it would be nice to see a 3 round burst rifle added, A Placeable HMG for suppression and defensive measures, Boats to cut around Enemy lines, And Transport helicopters to encourage coordination between teamates. But this probably wont happen for awhile. :P
