Please, we are getting very off topic, back to the subject at hand.

Yes. Seriously, this isn't the place to discuss clan drama or other petty/irrelevant/worthless crap. Get back on topic.

It might be a problem, but I never have been in a Clan.
Clans make the game too serious and take fun away.
That's just my opinion though.

I find it pretty amusing, the actual roster with the actual members is there out to the public so I don't really care about impersonators, I just touch them with my ban hammer on the LDR servers.

I'm surprised at the off topicness in this thread, a lot of people getting warned. :l
Anyway, I don't really see what you can do about imposters/impersonators. Registration may be put in place, perhaps, but sometimes there is not a lot you can do, especially if they don't realise that they are impersonating a clan. I once saw a guy who had what looked to be a clan tag in front of his name, but when I asked him, he said he didn't even have a forum account, nor did he know there were AoS forums. I checked, and he had the tag of an existing clan, but he didn't know that. He just put it there to look cool or in imitation of real clan members.

Thus meaning some innocent people may be banned for impersonating when they were not!

Also, as I was pointing out which seemed to be lost on some people is that overused clan names like Delta, Rangers, Airborne, and so on are just that...overused on pretty much every single online shooter game and often result in people fighting with each other about, "We're Delta!", "Nuh-uh! We're Delta!".

So if your clan has chosen one of these "totally original" names then you should be prepared for other people to "steal" your clan name. It could be someone impersonating your clan but it could equally as well be someone not aware that you're the "REAL" clan.

Player impersonation is probably more an issue with the lack of a registration system in AoS. In the future if they do introduce a registration system you better jump on those player and clan names quick because like I said, most of them aren't as original as most people seem to think they are.

EDIT: Okay how about this Doc. Yes I agree with you. Clans should really think of original names if they want to appear as the only of their kind. I mean everyone uses something Army, At least they could use Green Berets...... I haven't seen that yet.

I am proud. ~Doc
EDIT AGAIN: Thank you..

No one really knows that much about the Airborne, we're pretty much the only USAB clan I've ever seen.

Yeah, it is not that common. Only once I saw a guy on BF BC2 with a [USAB] tag on his name.

Only time i saw someone have the SW clan tag was a few times on Shams lil pony. His name was Toxi(i cant remeber the full name). When i asked him about the tag he said that it was a tag of an another clan. But either way or another Stormwind Infantry is a quite original name and SW~ is an quite original clan tag.

Booyo, that [USAB]Seigheil guy who was reported as an impersonator is actually part of a different clan. I forget what the U and the S stand for, but AB part stands for albino bunnies.

Based upon what he says and his name, he's probably a troll and is impersonating while claiming USAB (this clan) stabds for something else.

Just a tip, the topic was probably meant for discussion, not for chit-chatting..
