once upon a time i hacked in multiplayer.
it was Counter Strike 1.6 and the year as 2004. it was before every server was secured with VAC (valve anti cheat) and the super hero mod was very popular. on VAC servers there's no tolerance for hacking, and I didn't hack on VAC servers. the non VAC servers there were ones that actually welcomed hackers. I played only on those that welcomed hackers.
it was actually very fun becasue everyone hacked with aimbot and speed hack, wallhack, no recoil, 100% accuracy, and the server has stuff like infinite ammo, rope mod, weapons mod, etc. it was like regular old super hero mod cs1.6 but super fun.
well eventually all the pro-hacker servers disappeared so when my favorite one couldn't be found I just stopped hacking.
since 2004 in multiplayer games I do not hack, glitch or use exploits beyond those that everyone has the opportunity to take advantage of if they were observant enough. for example in AoS i developed blind fire after making several important observations on how the game works. i can make kills at beyond the fog, and it is not hacking. it is just how the game is programmed and it's not my problem you weren't observant enough to notice them!
in single player I don't cheat until I've finished the game at least once. if there's multiple outcomes believable in the game I'd try them all before i do any cheats. once I start cheating the game is pretty much dissected, so the game should be enjoyed to the fullest before i start taking apart the game with cheats.
well there's be a few games that are so crappy that you'd get stuck and must cheat to continue... that's rather unfortunate.
