The devs could make this game pretty popular in our niche of people who can't give a shit about graphics. (if there's good gameplay) They need:
A. Polish the game. (Ie; gameplay and maybe some graphical. Who knows.)
B. Get exposure for their game. Spam message youtubers with it. Make your own youtube page and upload videos consistently.
C. Be professional. (Not to say one way or the other if they have.) Update the game consistently, on a set basis, until it's finished. No more of this random shenanigans.
THEN they can say they want money.
If this game's above $5, it better have turned excellent. At the rate this is going I don't see it being worth above 5 dollars.
What they should do instead of asking for us to buck a flat amount is, they should add perks to the people for making microtransactions.
Maybe you can donate to have a 64 slot (instead of <32) for a set amount of time and a small amout of money? Something of the sort.
Microtransactions are the future of online gaming.

I just gave my bright idea? I'm saying from a market standpoint it's not a great idea to make people have to pay after them NOT having to pay.
