Looking for video editing program.

I looking for a good, easy to use, Free video editing program and if it had a few effects that would be cool. And if it works on windows XP that would be great.

DONT NEED TO INSTALL :Window Movie Maker
but its too basic. lol

I use Adobe After Effect and Premiere Pro in Master Collection CS5.5
its cool but need a lot of plugins to create great effects.
Sony Vegas is awesome too.

Well, the Adobe products and Sony Vegas are both great for video editing, but they cost. As for free video editing software, I would suggest Lightworks, it's free and it's a fairly professional program.

Of course, Windows Movie Maker isn't the best out there, but it gets the job done if you want to do something simple. Or, if you use a Mac, there's iMovie.

Well,ill try lightworks first and if I dont like it ill try adobe after effects. As for Sony vegas, thats just way too much money for any program and windows movie maker is alright but it cant use layers of audio.

after effects cs5 wont work with xp. just same like vegas 11. You can use vegas 9.0 & after effects cs4 and its works with xp. tpb.

Thanks for telling me that, probably save me alot of hassle. It always annoying when you download something that doesnt work on your computer.

Just tried lightworks, didnt work but I did find ezvid which is great. It works on all windows but its a bit iffy on xp. It can also record which is always handy and its free. Has no effects though I suggest you all take a look at it
