You didn't port forward(properly?) see the wiki and check 32887 on http://www.canyouseeme.org

Port forwarding isn't the issue. It connects, then disconnects. It happens usually because your server's software is out of date with the current client. Gosh I hope that made sense.

Anyway, check that. Then check your internet speeds, and see if there's any packet loss.

Dear Dany0,

Before posting, please read the post fully. In his log, it says it connected to the master server, then disconnected. This means it was able to make contact WITH the Pyspades server, but something broke the connection.

That means, the port is not blocked. If it wasn't able to have master server connection, it would say so. Something is breaking the connection between the server and the Masterserver. This can lead to these possibilities:

1. The Masterserver is forcibly disconnecting his server for some reason (happens to me if I put it up too much, so I guess packet flood or request floods)

2. His server is disconnecting from the Masterserver (like when you exit)

3. Something is breaking the pre-existing connections between the two.

My guess is 3, being that your internet for some reason isn't fast enough, or some antivirus program is blocking the connection a bit late. All else fails, it could be some virus or something since they can kill connections out of irregular ports.

Love,

Holliday.

What Dany0 is trying to say is that he port forwarded in the wrong device. You have to port forward on the computer hosting the server in order for the port forward to work. This error happened to me a while ago after I changed the computer I was hosting from.

Dear CraftDinur,

Again, the port forward has nothing to do with it. He port forwarded to the correct device because it is making contact with the masterserver, which means it's sent and received confirmation packets along with the XML server info.

If it were to say:

Code: Select all
Starting up Pyspades whatever-ma-bob
Disconnected from Master Server

Then that'd be the problem. Or, if it was saying it was listening for confirmation (which happens in the vanilla server, I think. I may be getting it confused with SHOUTCast)

However, he's clearly stated it's saying:

Code: Select all
Starting up whatever
Connected to Masterserver
(1 minute later)
Disconnected from Masterserver

This happens to me whenever I start the server too many times, or there's a huge packet flood to the Masterserver and it drops. Hence why I said, perhaps try antivirus scan. It could also happen from your internet connection dropping, since then it loses connection to the Masterserver.

Run a speed test.

Edit: In fact, I can tell you this is the problem. My server DC'd from the Masterserver today. Why? My brother was torrenting some game completely legally and not illegally, seeding at approx. ~all my upload. If this isn't the problem, then I don't know what is. AoS is a very non-consuming server to run, but if you're running >24 people on a general bandwidth plan, you're gonna screw yourself over.

Dear HollidaySpessa,

Before you start speaking authoritatively about something and correcting others, make sure you're right. I just started my test server with master set to true, and port forwarding set up INCORRECTLY. Eg. I'm forwarding the pyspades ports to another (off) machine on my network. I also have business class internet and plenty of bandwidth to spare. Here are my logs.

As you can see, you get EXACTLY what messages the OP was getting, and it's clearly caused by improper port forwarding. Just because it says "Master connection established" doesn't mean it's ACTUALLY established.

Dear SLoW,

As you can see, I clearly fixed his problem. Why you have an attitude, I have no clue. Do you notice when I wasn't here, his problem wasn't fixed. But now it is, once I arrived on the scene?

SLoW,

I suggest reading the whole thread before posting. Doing so in the future will save you a lot of trouble in writing a long essay that I did not read. I am not trying to be rude, but I believe your boundaries are overstepped quite a bit. Recreating a problem does not help solve it, and antagonizing an argument after the thread is "solved" does not help anybody.

I will not start a debate, that is against the rules.

Now, let us get back on topic, you're welcome jaymin :).

Semper games,

Dear Holliday Spessa,

The problem DID get fixed, and you WERE here, but I think it's important to recognize the difference between correlation and causation. You didn't fix the problem, you suggested a speed test.

Holliday Spessa,

I suggest reading the whole thread before posting, and next time, keep your attitude at bay. We're about providing a friendly and open place to help people get support for their servers, and your attitude towards other members in the community (who know more about pyspades than you) isn't warranted or helpful. I don't need to read any more of your troll posts, so I'm locking the thread.

Some latin shit,
