Sound problems- Custom sound files are very quiet in-game

Postby AverageZac » Sun May 06, 2012 11:54 pm

Well, as the title says, custom sound files I make are very quite in-game, but when I play them in VLC, they're loud (the way they're mean to be). I've made a youtube video that has both sounds:

is this a common problem? Is there a way around it? I've tried to go into Audacity and amplify the sounds there, but if I go any further they're going to start clipping.

Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to being a part of the AoS modding community.

EDIT: The rifle sounds do the same thing. SMG sounds are fine though... here's another video, showing all of the files.

Maybe try using another program to amplify it. If that doesnt work upload the files so we can try them

Due to the games sound programming, the 3D sound is awesome, although, becuase of its fairly awful sound programming
high-def sounds cannot be used very well and are very imcompaitable.
