Help making Red Dot sight

Postby Inurbelly » Sat Aug 04, 2012 1:32 am

Okay, so I'm trying to make a red dot sight for the B.A.R. that I have made and will soon be up for download. The red dot is dead center in Photoshop and I have the gun perfectly lined up with the red dot. But the problem is in the game, when I aim it is showing up as and oval and not a square like it should be, but when I shoot the dot becomes a square like it should be but is off center with the gun by 1 or 2 pixels... I don't know what the problem is, I've tried everything and I'm getting pretty frustrated with it.

Here are some pictures:

In Photoshop:
(The red lines are rulers that I can drag from the edges and they snap to the center of the image so I can see where the center is)

In game while aiming:
(The picture is zoomed in obviously :P)

In game while aiming and shooting:
(Also zoomed in :P)

I think it is a bug, happens to me too. Just add another layer to the red dot, and it will look normal.

We are here because the Universe offers conditions so life can evolve,to the point where(at least one)species,in a small planet around a star lost between millions of galaxies,is able to ask itself:What was my origin? (M. Gleiser)

add one more layer of red to the left side, I have this glitch very often and that always fixes it

(Based on Windows 7 and my Windows Vista knowledge)

Go to, Start > All Programs > Ace of Spades, then click "Configuration." Open it up in notepad and change windowed = 0 to windowed = 1, make sure that the "x res" and "y res" are 800x600. Double-check that your sights are also 800x600, then in-game it should look perfect.

P.S The middle is actually in-between the 4 middle pixels.

To be sure of hitting The Target, shoot first, call whatever you hit "The Target"
