A perfectly valid question. I found TC on
Maze of Blood works quite well, with teams making expanding fortresses out in the middle of the maze and so on. But it has potential as a CTF map as well. I showed it to
DeathEnhanced when I first made it and he basically said the map was "too hard" which, as far as I am concerned, is perfect! (I can't claim credit for the maze designs though... I just grabbed whatever looked cool on Google Image search.) Add a red fog background and it's even harder! lulz!
Lake of Blood really is more of a slightly sadistic conceptual version of the standard gen map that I made with CTF in mind but I think TC works well enough for similar reasons to what I mentioned above. Either way you have to think twice before going in any direction. It encourages parkour-style displays of dexterity. It gives builders some work to do and griefers can just go mental if they want to. You can also build walkways below the ground level in interesting ways to infiltrate towards the enemy. Plus I just think it looks cool.
But you always gotta worry about that water damage. On that note, just changing the water damage on the Maze of Blood can make it a bit less difficult and I sort of recommend that if you want to speed up gameplay a bit.
