This and Island are what made me want to start mapping for AoS.
My first fun times playing AoS where on Izzys maps. Before then I was just playing gen maps, and those get really old, really quick because of the lack of landmarks.
My first OMG moment was on island, when I saw Izzys palm tree... I immediately looked areound for anyone watching, and ran over and tried chopping down the tree.
Craaaash bang.... I was in love with AoS already. Gravity was in effect unlike Minecrafts trees.
Later on I discovered Pinpoint, and from that hard core action, I immediately wanted to start mapping for AoS.
Hallway was one of those "wtf is this?" moments in my life. I looked at it and immediately dismissed it. Later on I was playing , and logged into a halway server again by mistake.
This time I noticed the server was full, and there where thousands of little tunnels and passage ways people had added to the game themselves.
The sheer height of the walls made for some very creative building opportunities.
On the top of the walls people where making their own little sub-games, making little forts, and destroying the enemy ones.
If you guys are new to AoS, i highly recommend, logging into a hallway server.
Or run it on your own server if you want a guaranteed good turnout.
I also highly recommend Pinpoint and island. On a full server they are some of the most exciting maps AoS has to offer.
A while back I made Izcool keep, as a tribute to all the inspiration Izzy has given to me with his artwork.
I hope to keep that tradition alive, on my upcoming work there shall be some Izzy in the title, and in the map design.
