Weird bug with texts

Alright, this happened to me a few minutes ago on Aloha 1ctf classicgen.

Look at the bottom of the screen, it says something like "Sy oa Chase_UC killed gronkah (headhost) has changed team blah blah blah".

It's like the game messages got screwed up, and the first time my game crashed when this happened.

BTW, I've no idea what that Q like letter is in the upper left corner of the picture...

I've gotten a bug where that was replaced with some other weird text. I have no idea what caused it but reinstalling the game fixed it.

When I joined the server, I took one step and then everything glitched up.

EDIT: I think that I might have found the reason
