Performance issues

Postby Moonkey » Mon Apr 02, 2012 5:43 pm

While playing in goon-haven and many other servers, after you play awhile you start to have a decline of FPS. It declines but after about 60 seconds it goes back to your original amount of fps. After about 5 mins it starts back up. And repeats. But everytime it happens it gets faster and faster. Instead of 5 mins it turns to like 4 1/2 mins and lower. This issue greatly effects my gameplay. I get about 40-50 fps ingame and when the frame-rate lowers I get about 35-25 which is a terrible thing. If you've experienced this before please tell me. People with computers that let them play at 60 fps or more grab a program that tells you your fps and watch for drops. (I'd use Bandicam)

I get about 0 fps on my good computer and this one is better for fps games. This computer gets normal fps when my good computer gets 0 fps on every game. It may be a virus, that is running in the services.

I don't have viruses on my laptop. (I know because I can play other games fine) It's just wierd because it only happens when more than 3 people are firing smg's.

my fps goes up and down, sometimes as low as 25 but it really doesn't bother me. my computer refuses to see this is a 2D application, it refuses to use the more hardware-intensive 3D application settings... also playing in windows mode means the max FPS is 60- same as the rest of the desktop.

I know my computer doesn't suck- it never goes under 55 FPS in Crysis1 (max settings 1920x1200) ~ I don't play it much now, I mostly use it for benchmark testing when i upgrade my hardware.

I also notice that if you look at the fog in the sky, your FPS decreases. And if you have your face up against some blocks you have no decrease. Usually games decrease in FPS when against walls. I guess It's because of the voxel engine.
