Installing Troubles

When ever I try to install AoS, I always get an error saying that I need a program associated with AoS.
Any suggestions?

client.exe in your Ace of Spades directory.

It doesn't even FINISH installing. Do I just hit the save function and save it to desktop?

What the error says is that I need to install ANOTHER program to get AoS to install.
Either that or associate a program with it.
Still not making sense.

Wait, what? I don't get it, when is it telling you this? Are you trying to install it, or have you already installed it and you're trying to join a server?
You just have to associate the protocol aos:// with client.exe.
