So I had this fun idea...

A couple days ago, I was playing on a server (don't remember what it was, but it was like 10-12 people at the time) and - after getting numerous kills with the Spade and actually having people run up to me with the spade in an attempt to redeem themselves - I came up with a sort of game-mode idea.

Spades 'n' 'Nades.

The only weapons you are allowed to use are Spades and Grenades. When I came up with this and suggested it on the server, only one other guy (who I suspected to be aimbotting every once in a while but not constantly) decided to join in. We happened to be the best players on the server at the time (evident by our respective kill counts). It was pretty hilarious having one Spades n' 'Nades player on each team when everyone else had full weaponsets, just running in and ambushing people trying to capture intel or find sniping spots, etc.

Anyone think this would be a fun idea too? I considered starting up a server specifically for it, so if there's enough interest I could make it a fun weekly event or something.

And the idea isn't that it's like a hack to prevent other weapons from being used. It's just you're on an honor system to only use spades and grenades.

i think it would be awesome. i remember some counter strike maps were like that long ago, where all you had is knife & infinite nades. I miss those HE maps. But they were never very popular- when 32 people nade spam all over the place not even the fastest computer of the day (in 2002) can handle it. wow that was long ago.

well with a pyspades server you can set it to turn off all but certain guns and such

Ah. Might look into that later, but for now I'm good with just randomly challenging servers to Spades n' Nades after I've accumulated the most kills and at least 5 Spade kills.

Also, if anyone ever finds me on a server, feel free to challenge me to a game. :D
