If you point it at the sky you may blind pilots. No it's actually because they show through walls, their not banned, their frowned upon.

Some people make skins with a line going front the head into the sky, if someone's tunneling you see the wad pointing out of the ground.

Its basically "wallhacking" or "ESP". People also make laser pointers that emanate from the top of their weapons as well so they can see people ducked behind walls, etc. It's like a big, "I'm here" so they can see where everyone is. It's cheating and the devs have confirmed this as well.

Yeah, normally itd only be like one block if they were like hugging it, but its a real problem when it goes through the entire map.

You can, its just pretty limited, like in order to simulate a hat for my old cavestory mod I had to remove a good portion of his "face" to make the hat thing stick out

In slab6, the laser can only go out so far. Its useful, but distracting and stupid. I tried it just to see what other people might have been doing, but it is better to just focus on your cover and not on a bunch of lame sticks coming from the top of peoples guns...

To answer your question kill
Adding extra voxels does not make the hit box bigger, the hit box is an invisible box that surrounds the player so thay can track hits, the skins are cosmetic, but it highlights where the hit boxes are.
I've even made a game so I know about some of this stuff, not to brag or anything.
