if the 'paid' version of AoS will have better optimization. Because it will likely support better graphics, this is a problem for me because this is the only real shooter I can run well on my computer. How big will the graphics update be? More like Minecraft? If so, I hope it can be a little more lag-free. I'm not looking forward to playing 10 bucks for a game that won't run fast on my computer. I'm sorry, but if not, I'll have to stick to the older version. As much as I'd like to support, I can't afford paying for a worthless game.

Well, i have the same problem. But 1.0 (''paid'') version only has a OpenGL render, its the same render for Counter Strike, Minecraft don't have that render (i guess), OpenGL in my case, its boosted for my Intel crap Video card.

I heard that will exist a Demo Version from 1.0, try and test, if run well, good! buy the game :)

I probably will. It's not like we're going from retro to modern, from 8-bit to 3D. But it still may present itself a problem to some players, and a benefit to others. It's hard to cater with varied audiences, I assume, so I don't blame them, but I do suggest the AoS team create options. Maybe something in the config? Graphics Classic or Fancy?

This is the render OpenGL, look the weapon, more details, but from my opinion, the change isn't too big. Any PC from 1990 to 2010 can run it. What PC have you?

PC is a Dell (a veritable duck me right there) from 2005. Desktop, below decent gfx card. Might be able to run it with 20FPS plus. I might play on the non-pay version, incase my buddies who didn't pay would like to shoot it out. An obvious drop in players for the other side should mean more open servers, which is good for me.

dont worry youll be able to run it . they probley wont change the graphics just the quinty so it wont look like shit
