So how random are headshots?

How do they register and where do you have to aim for a headshot? Because i've had it mulitple times that i blast 6 bullets into his head without a headshot they turn around, shoot me in the head and they have a headshot?

They aren't really random, and pretty common. You aim for the head, hit the head, and get a headshot. A lot of the time, they don't register though. If you see blood, you've made a hit. If they don't fie, shoot again. It should take no more than a few shots to put someone down. If it takes more, then check your ping. I often have to do that. Check my ping I mean.

Blood doesn't work like a hitmarker, so if someone is lagging extremely bad or hit detection is going full derp the enemy bleeds, but doesn't get damaged.

I doubt they'd be that random, seeing a computers have great difficulty generating random numbers!

Now if someone were to built an algorithm for weapon accuracy based around a mersenne twister I swear I'd give them a beer or something...
