AoS 1.0 - New particle effects!

And I also managed to find a picture of the new HMG smoke: http://mp2.dk/ace/newsmoke2.png

There's one more picture of the HMG smoke, but I can't view it for some reason.

Also, notice how in the HMG smokes picture you can see the HMG icons on the mini map.

I absolutely love the new particle effects (and the new smoke) but i'm kinda worried that it could make the game laggy on crappy-er PC's.

They don't look as good as they looked before,pixels were more fun

No no no NO!. Don't bring real textures into the cubic world please. That looks awful, AWFUL. Add more pixels like it was before but NEVER add realistic textures. That looks so off.

Pixelish smoke cloud looks so way better than this horrible texture.

Add voxelish smoke, not the realistic smoke.

I don't really care if it is voxelish or not. I just hope these are optional so ben/mat doesn't go all valve on us. (Fancy fire/cloaking effects with no way to turn them off)

It's getting tedious to repeat, but please notice that everything is WIP. I took down the second picture since that was one failed iteration on the smoke (it was too "realistic").

I dont mind the extra special effect addons.

But please workout the gamecore mechanics first.

I don't know, it looks pretty. But it doesn't fit with the game.

@Mat^2: It is a WIP, which means we should give our opinions before it becomes final.

@Simox: Don't you think you could have said that a bit nicer?
