Not at all. I love it when people post additions to the thread. My schedules been fairly hectic though so I probably won't be able to update the thread for a while.

I agree. First off, this isn't something that you exactly originally came up with. All these designs, tips, and tricks are commonly known. Just because someone decided to use/do something similar, doesn't give you the right to call it yours.

The work can be derived from as long as it's not profited off of. If he does something similar but not derivative of my work, he isn't required to attribute anything to me.

I understand that it's almost becoming a taboo to put any sort of control over something posted to the internet, but I put a lot of work into this. The licensing is there as a preventative measure to keep people from just taking the work outright and using it for whatever they want.

To extend what Zeke said, basically you want to retain credit?

I would like to retain credit for the work I have done. Just because you happen to know all the tactics in a "Prima" game guide, doesn't mean you have the right to simply lift it word for word and post it online as being "Public domain". The work I have done here is original, and I have licensed it accordingly.

So in other words, you want credit for this article, not for the actual tactics. Nothing new is suggested or discussed, but this particularly compilation is original as such.

That seems fine to me then.

Exactly. And not to be rude, but I would love if we could put this matter to bed after an some half-page discussion on it :)

My computer recently crashed and with it, the dream of 1.1. I'm still waiting on the official release of .75. If I decide I don't like it, I'll probably just let the project become more of a public domain thing.
