I would have to disagree, autoclimb means it is simply too easy to accidentally reveal your head. I would rather build a two wide, three deep trench, with firing positions branching off in the direction of the enemy.

Going to have to agree with Squeal on this one; Autoclimb makes it dicey to only have the trench 1 block wide, but yeah, that is a pretty standard design, thanks Sledder.

I typically go for 2 wide too, but you always have to balance the issue of how easy it is for it to catch grenades. The thinner the better, especially with airstrikes. I do make it that wide though sometimes. Its also a good idea to dig air-raid bunkers along the back wall.

Well, if grenades are the problem there is a third alternative you could use. That is digging the trench only two deep, but adding a one block high wall at the front. While this means the most grenades will either be stopped at the wall or fly over it; the wall can be quite easily destroyed, removing your cover.

In most non-gen maps, I still think this is one of the most important buildings for rifle players:

It's very weak against SMGs, but only if they know you are there. Also, it doesn't look very pretty.
I think it's probably most useful on pinpoint.

But what defines a pyspades server exactly? Theres many scripts out there the server may or may not be running.
