I was annoyed with the timer at first, but now its nice to know I can sneak behind enemy lines without having 20 enemies CONSTANTLY spawning right next to me.

Also, this game has always been "slow-paced" it about strategy and building, not gunplay.
Why don't you play CS or CoD if you want a fast-paced shoot'em up.
