Let us not forget the focus right now; ACPA, which sides SOPA and PIPA, and is set to go global. Signing by countries is open up until May 2013. Countries that have signed this plurilateral agreement currently include, United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea. No country has abstained from applauding this treaty's content, so it will be interesting to see this somewhat international legislation take effect.

No one should have ever been worried about SOPA. It's such a radical bill, it never would have gotten passed in the first place. Instead, the same companies who suggested SOPA will get PIPA through. The plan is to make a bill so insane that PIPA seems fine by comparison and gets passed, it's a commonly used legal trick. But even if SOPA did get passed, it wouldn't be long until protests broke out and then revoked.
