is this the VOXED engine? Or an edited version of it? I'm kinda interested.

Just to clarify: this is OpenGL and has nothing to do with VOXLAP (and yes, it is real, or at least my well-deserved finger cramps are telling me so).
Also, please don't call it "LSD", call it "DISCO".

This is a difficult dilemma.

(of course, it should be easy to cheap-implement, just turn the depth test off when drawing the player models :D)

I'm wondering if the new engine is going to use the same .kv6 and voxed filetypes for maps and models, that'd be great. Same modeling process we're all familar with, but nicer looking end results. :3

Well if they managed to get player and weapon models in game then i think it shouldn't be too hard.

If you can make the stuffs of weapons like CS 1.6, it's good.

The only way to know is to try it yourself. This isnt entirely accurate, though.

Generally, LSD causes objects to move fluidly, colors intensify and blend, and geometric / fractal patterns appear on flat surfaces. Of course, this is only in moderate doses. Higher doses can result in complete loss of reality at plateau, ego death, and full blending of open-eye and closed-eye visuals.

Everyone experiences it differently, though, so dont take my word for it. Be VERY careful with psychedelics. Research it until your brain explodes before trying anything, and start out small. Always have an experienced, sober sitter. Set and setting is also very important.

Stay away from hard drugs ;)
