Rifle doesn't really overpower SMG, infact it's probably level now, almost exactly, depending on what kind of player you are of course as well. I find it easier to use SMG now for some reason? (I think the new sounds are less disturbing and let you focus better), I also noticed the Rifle has been nerfed, but I, as a rifleman think this is amazing, it makes it more challenging. It was almost boring as it was before.

Sure the sprinting is weird, so is the spectating, and that is because it's something completely new added to the game. I've seen all this weird stuff been added like Shotguns and SMG's and autoclimb and removal of the poor Pickaxe and so on, but I've not moaned, as it just takes time to get used to.

I approve your comment.
I think that the difficult is MUCH higher(depending on skill).
But I can still get used to it.
Yeah,you saw that.
I'm completely sure this update makes things much better.

I agree that the scoreboard issue needs to be fixed. Also, I like that the master server now lists the map that is being played, but it could use some formatting changes.

Weapon tweaks are weapon tweaks. They'll change again for the next update. I prefer a one hit spade, and any server that runs pyspades can change the spade damage value.

I like the sprinting. Speed used to be a skill before autoclimb, and it is again. Do you use the autoclimb to get over a hill or do you skirt around it using your sprinting and running skills and hope you don't get caught on an edge? Do I walk backwards and defend myself or turn around and sprint when I'm trying to get back to base? These decisions matter when you have the intel and you want to use the surrounding terrain as cover. My only major issues with the sprinting are that you can sprint backwards, you can sprint in water, and you can sprint in water going backwards. Island maps that shrink the playing area are now surrounded by highways. I can grab the intel and motorboat backwards to base, which even allows me to defend myself. There should be some sort of tradeoff between speed, safety, and initial investment (tunnelling=fast+safe, but it takes time to make a good tunnel).

Actually the SMG is over-powered, I played on a server and almost everyone was using an smg, it was killing people in like 3-4 body shots, Including me. So tweaks need to be fixed. Tai went over-board though. You need to learn how to control your rage and be a bit more decent.

I'll respond to this in a few updates to see if increased player capacity and HMG/Mortars are added (please don't add them, though). If they are, I will apologize as well as send you a basket [Tupperware?] of muffins.

danhezee wrote:the community is larger than you

Refer to previous statement.

danhezee wrote:you dont have to play this game, the game will never be tailored to your unrealistic demands

I don't understand how it's unrealistic to be completely content with the game the way it was, minus the griefers and hackers (which is the one area that needs to be updated but has been completely neglected)?

(Going to start sort of out of order)

DeathEnhanced wrote:Firstly, to address your above manor of addressing the Dev of this game that YOU play; He is under NO obligation to you, or me, or anyone in this community. This is something he works incredibly hard on, and something which you CHOOSE to play.

I never said he was. I admit I came off as being completely obnoxious and rude as I was extremely frustrated at the changes, and I apologize for that.

DeathEnhanced wrote:@OP

Wasn't aware there was one, I apologize and will have this one removed.

DeathEnhanced wrote: - Sprinting is not in place to veto auto climb

It was made for the purpose of tailoring to the COD kiddies (who have ADHD) and older players (who, sensibly so, viewed roads as tactical structures that improved gameplay)

DeathEnhanced wrote: - Not being being able to auto climb whilst sprinting is COUNTER BALANCE

Fair enough? Not really sure what was in reference to...

DeathEnhanced wrote: - Sprinting was implemented well, it works, has no bugs to my knowledge

I don't disagree. I still don't like the idea.

DeathEnhanced wrote:^ This is the only sensible thing you have said, in your entire post.

Thank you kindly.

DeathEnhanced wrote:90% of the updates were aesthetic, oh you mean like auto climb? the shot gun / smg, weapon re-balances? Id say around half of the updates are more geared towards presentation.

Okay, let's call it half.

DeathEnhanced wrote:^ REALLY?....I mean....really? Are you that dumb?

No, just compulsively hyperbolic.

And I'll take this time to apologize to you again in advanced if any of that came across as similarly cynical.

In my fits of blind rage I may have miscommunicated; I don't dislike spectator mode, my only quarrel with it was that there were features promised for it which weren't added. As well, it makes the enter-screen feel very cluttered and disorganized.

I agree wholeheartedly, but what turned me off to the idea was that it was clearly designed to appeal to those who wanted Autoclimb back while tailoring to the COD kiddies. I'd rather see autoclimb just enabled as an optional feature. On gen maps, sure, it would be great. On Goonhaven 1? Not so much.

Aye.

I've heard similar complaints from other people, but I didn't notice it personally. I do think that some damage tweaks were done, but again, I didn't even notice them while in game.

I like the fact that he made rifles inaccurate.

Makes more sense to make a dedicated sniper rifle
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.
