If it was somehow buffed with stronger mid range power it might start having more use.

Or you can change the map to be more beneficial to shotgun in by building. Just saying.

Most buildings aren't like that though. Most are walls, trenches, small bunkers or tunnels.
Tunnels are the only structure that doesn't usually need to be reached by crossing a plain of open land.
The people who usually make structures are semi users to sniper from or SMG users to shoot and take cover in. Neither would be very interested in making large structures to help the shotgun class and shotgunners themselves can't properly defend a structure because snipers and SMG users are shooting at the enemy and keeping them beyond shotgun range.

TLDR: No one builds the sort of stuff shotgunners really need to be effective.

SMG is fine how it is.
Rifle needs a small nerf, I think the spread is good. I have learned how to use it and it can be helpful in situations.

In other words: Keep the SMG and Rifle as they were in 0.75 but keep the 0.76 shotgun.

So you're saying we should nerf smg and give the rifle a cone? (Btw, shotgun is fine)

The Rifle is pretty much pinpoint accurate, people complain so much about it when it is no freaking deal. SMG is fine, I can easily own any SMG user with a rifle.

Shotgun is crap. Complete crap. It has a 10 block range, trying to kill anyone further away is suicide. Though the shotgun can be used effectively with a lot of practice, any deuce can easily pick up the rifle or SMG and own.

The semi mane all the other guns obsolete and the community (or most of it) is biased towards the semi.

And no matter what Ben does, the SMG will ALWAYS overpowered and that the Shotgun is ALWAYS underpowered to the eyes of the rifle users.

There's no fun when around 80 percent (will) use the semi in .76. It's not "sniping" when it's in close to mid-range. If a semi user ever gets caught in mid to close range AND gets killed by the smg/shotgun, it's their fault, not the weapon's.

I believe the RC1/RC2's stats were good enough.
To a Physicist, white and black is the presence and absence of color.
To a Fine Artist, white and black are just shades and tints of color.
To a Painter, any paint that you could get into a can is a color.
THIS color, on the other hand, is #b4d455.

Oh good you realized the weapon isnt at fault on your own

Chop, what you basically saying is a 12 gauge shot gun would shoot further than a 50 caliber BMG, and do more damage on impact.

Not .50 BMG, but your point remains anyway. Just a small correction.

@Fluttershy

It was an example. It happens everywhere. How many shotgunners do you see these days rushing? On any map? They're somewhat more common on arena maps, but still rendered nearly obsolete by the smg. The pinpoint example was just that. An example.

An example on one of the most rifle friendly and shotgun unfriendly maps in existence. I actually see a fairly decent amount of shotgunners when I play, and that(currently about 15-20% amount) is bound to increase with the shotgun buff, and Ive NEVER seen an enemy shotgunner not get shot.

IMO Rifle is fine, but at the very least it could use a veeeery small nerf.
Shotty seems fine too, maybe buff it up a little.
SMG seriously needs a nerf, it's still OP. It fires to fast.

SMG should become a burst smg (3 round burst).
