Ace of Spades classic idea

Hey guys. As I write this me and a friend are playing AoS, and we are reminiscing over how the game used to be. How its simplicity made so fun and enjoyable. Back in 0.58 the shotgun was introduced, and that personally was the point where the game peaked. Now everyone when each update comes out complains that 'this gun is so over powered', or 'this element ruins the game'. Personally I think back when all the present weapons were introduced, they were most balanced. So what I'm proposing is we start a group, which respect the old ways, and utilises the game when it was simpler, more fresh.
First I want to see what portion of the community agrees with me before I try to start anything, but I guess at first it would be a group of people with the old version installed, and once a week or so, host an out dated server to join, and if it catches on, we could we could get Ben to release an old version which is labelled AoS classic, meaning you don't have to swap over versions all the time!
I just want the general opinion of the community right now, and I would like anyone reading this to leave a reply. If you don't agree just say, because I want to see if this idea is appreciated by everyone

Seems like a good thing to do to keep all the babies in their carriage. Good idea. But I'll stay with the current version.

I guess the update can change at will, if we have arranged games once a week or so. It could change on a rotor, and be announced on a Monday, if the last game was on Sunday. So people have a week to prepare, and then the server(s) are opened for a night. And People post their IP's on the main page too.

IMO last one before the new rifle models would be good. Or they could possibly just re-code the existing game to bring gameplay to back then, but keep all the server/admin improvements.

It'd be great to have a mode that represents the times before Reddit casuals infected this once good game. Basically, remove all the extra Call of Duty crap and return to the rifle, shovel, and pick.
