Does anyone actually bother to communicate in this game?

I hardly see any actual talking going on amongst teams these days and I believe it's slowly destroying teamwork. I love the feeling of actually devising a proper strategy amongst my team mates to get the intel rather than just sprinting to a position and shooting from there. Sadly I rarely get this feeling now as no-one ever bothers to talk in this game, EVER.

When I first began to play Ace of Spades, I would usually find some members of my team trying to devise a way to reach the objective by communicating with each other. Now everyone has a lone wolf mentality where teamwork is hardly present.

Some of you may think this hardly matters, but the way teamwork used to function in this game was one of the things that separated it from most FPS games. Now I feel this game is being invaded by people where they only want to talk when they're not having fun, e.g. "OMG HACKER". Do any of you want this game to just be another CoD clone?

This is my first post so forgive me If this issue has already been resolved, I just feel that this community's interest in teamwork has diminished lately. On a side note, I actually try to get some discussion amongst my team in most cases, yet my pleas usually fall on deaf ears.

It depends on what servers you go on, sadly though, AoS is filled with immature brats.

I'm just too slow at typing, with the new respawn wawes I sometimes say something in the lines of "Enemy in water at right"

Quoting myself from another thread:

In-game chat needs changing. Even with people speaking the same language, it's hard to make teamwork because the chat disappears all to quickly, especially if you are in a fire-fight and don't have time to look down.

The game really needs a proper chat client, allowing you to scroll through the past ~5 mins of chat.

Other than that, I'd say the language barrier is there, so some ability to place markers for your team, either on the map or in real time would be nice.
