[OAP] - Any interest?

Just testing the water to see if there would be enough interest in this.

A clan for older players.

No ranks, no 'We play to win, we are the best players' etc etc. We just play for a laugh and to more than likely, get killed. More of a sub-community within the AoS community I guess. Somewhere us older folk can have a giggle on the forums, and maybe have some clan games here and there for a bit of fun.

Any thoughts? Does something like this already exist? If so, sign me up!

Well, if you guys kick it off, <@> will be around for some fun games. Our philosophies seem somewhat similar.

A word of warning; most of the older (i'm assuming 25+) folk around here, that have interest in communal gaming have already joined the existing clans that also cater for their demographic, while the rest seem to wish to stay outside of the "clan business". I'd estimate 95% of the playerbase being under 20, which also means we don't get community-active oldies too often. Perhaps if you keep at it for a month or two, people will find you.

Thanks for the reply. I don't necessarily mean a new clan needs to be created if this sort of thing already exists. If there is I would probably rather just join that than try and start something from scratch! I had a poke about the clans section(s) and didn't spot any that were laid back and just here for a laugh. All looked pretty serious, and geared towards younger folk.

Anywho thanks again for the reply, worst case scenario and I don't find a clan who fits these criteria I will just leave this thread up and see if we get a trickle of people start to come in. The game is fun, free, tiny download and runs on any pc so I am sure given time the user base will grow.

Probably not my place to be advertising for other clans, but I believe LDR could suit your needs - at least the few nigh-thirties guys seem pretty content with being members of it. It's mainly a social clan, but they do put out a mean fight in a match, having had the privilege to have a go against them personally. I do recommend giving them a closer look.

Mikuli pretty much hit the nail on the head. Most of the older players here already have a clan or don't want to be in one. Feel free to check us (LDR) out though, we've got a few older members and again like mikuli said, we're a social clan. We like to hang out with each other in IRC, play games (AoS and others), and just generally have fun. Feel free to apply if you're interested. :)
