Alright people, I've launched the server again. The map version is now 1.1 since I've made a few changes. For example distance between the chunks of land is now bigger, so that one team can't shoot down the opposite on their own side of the map. Plus I've made a protective wall on both sides stretching all the way through the defender's beach. The server name is "Sons of the Apocalypse", and the map is called "No Mans Land V1.1". Enjoy!

EDIT: I'm gonna have to shut down my comp for a while due to some unforeseen events. So the server's gonna be down too.

I don't know if any Komrades have replied already because I generally skip to the last page but;
This looks very promising and I can tell you're a smart, kind individual and you'll be an intelligent, contributing clan that should stand the test of time. The Komrades look forward to a match some day. :)

Are you going to release the map? I'll like to have a look at it and, as my internet usage allowance is running low, I want to take a look at the map WITHOUT entering your server. Would you be kind enough to put a download link for it? Thanks.

There's one tiny little problem... I honestly don't know how to do this. Last time I played AoS was like 0.38 I joined again this April and a lot of stuff is completely new. Forum, gameplay, new guns, everything... So, if you can provide me a good "how to", or at least give me a link to one, I would more than happy to send you my map. But be advised, this is my first map, I'm still trying to get a grip of VOXED. So there aint no "WOOOOW" attached to this map (seriously, it's literally two chunks of land and some water in between).
And another thing, I wish for the maps I'm making for my clan to stay "SotA" exclusive, if you know wha'I'm saying. I can hand out some of the first maps, like this one. But I'd like to keep som of the later and more "extended" maps to be only on SotA servers.

And it's not like ANYONE is going to leak them, is it? But actually, if you want your maps to stay SotA exclusive, then do it.

Sure they may be leaked, but I'm just saying that I wont be the one to do it. But like I sad, I can give out some of my first maps since, well, there aint nothing exclusive about them. So, if you can link me a "how to" I will be more than happy to provide you with this particular map.

A simple f1 on the server hosting the map you don't wish to be distributed will save the map to the f1'ers vxl file as lastsav.
I'm unsure of the rules regarding if you're able to force a server to not use your maps if you do not wish them to, but perhaps there is (and if not, should be) a pyspades plugin that disables the f1 savemap feature.

I just asked on #AoS IRC and it's client-side, so the script not possible unless it becomes a feature of the vanilla game.

Anywho, you seem like a cool chap, feel free to drop by our IRC. Channel is #Komrade on http://webchat.quakenet.org

Q#1. Is it within the realms of your linguistic ability to fully comprehend the query written on this very line? What I'm trying to get across is... YOU. ENGLISH. YES? NO? YES I AM ENGLISH YAY CAP'S.
Q#2. Do you like AoS? Is it a game that you will actually play in a week or two? Yes i love AoS it overtook mine craft for me mainly.
Q#3. What specialization would you like to have? Attacker, Digger.
Q#4. What is your ingame name? You must inform me if you change it and what you change it to. Kingjj.
Q#5. Do you know anything about hosting servers? Does your RL situation allow to host servers? If I need help to host a server, could you do that for me? No i cannot, My home internet sucks mainly, I could try and find a open port at my library internet.
Q#6. What's your native language? What languages do you master? I know four and a half (my German is a bit rusty), so perhaps you might talk to me in a different language than English, if you need help. But you still must be able to speak English. I know Russian, Ukranian, Swedish and as I sad, a bit of rusty German. So you can speak with me in those languages if you can't say something complicated in English. Even if you don't speak any of those, I would still like to know what languages you possess so that you may, if you wish off course, help the brotherhood within that area, if we'll ever need help. English. But i am German, Scottish and Irish. :D
Q#7. If you do play AoS frequently, at which times do you usually log in and how long are you online? I am online mainly fridays, For 5-7 hours a day.

Why, I'm speechless... ***Wipes a tear of joy off his face, stands up, walks to a podium, takes out a note.*** "I would like to first and foremost thank my family for their undoubtful support. I also wish to credit the AoS community for all their helpful tips and warm cheering. This great achievement shall hopefully mark a new beginning, a hope for all our goals to prosper and for our spirit to rise in force. "Never give up." - sad a great mind of XXth century, named Winston Churchill. I never did, and here is where I am today. I say, this is a mark. A mark that tributes following dreams and ambitions. A mark that says, "Never loose hope, soldier, for one day you shall be general!". And I tell every man and woman, to try and follow this mark to the best of his or her ability, so help them God! Let this day be written into history as a sign that faith steps on defeat like an elephant steps on an ant! Let this day..."

But seriously, thanks sniper.

And kingjj, welcome to the brotherhood. You will get more details in a PM.

I don't think so. If you think about it, the server HAS to send the client the map so the client knows what the map looks like and how to navigate it. There's really no protecting custom maps, so I say embrace it. I've open sourced all the maps I've developed so the community at large can benefit.

Yes, after giving it some more thought, I too agree with this. So yea, no more exclusiveness :P
