since I saw leveling up on the thread there I have to voice my most passionate opinion and say NO! Leveling up does NOT belong in this game. AoS is a casual, non-competetive game that thrives on the fact that all players have an equal set of tools at their disposal. No player is given better equipment based on having played for a long time, and it ought to stay that way. I'm fine if some sort of system to track progress is added, but tying that system into an in-game reward/unlock system is a terrible idea.

i would like to discuss some ideas i had for future updates on your game use some or all just give me credit for it

.Fix some current bugs, some bugs i am experiencing is friends not being able to join servers that other people can join
.Add a community,im saying just like have the player create an account and have him or her be able to make clans
and invite friends to servers
.Add some more gamemodes revamp Humans Vs Zombies and make paintball wars or something
.Add Vehicles, make some maps that come with vehicles with turrets on them
.Add Classes:Add classes like a medic who can heal hurt players and make an engineer that can deploy and repair turrets
.Add More Weapons Add these weapons sniper rifle,assualt rifle,grenade launcher,a pistol and add sticky grenades also add a Flamethrower
.Add Some Killstreaks, Make it so the player gets rewarded for doing well like 8 kills for a helicopter that annhilates foes or something
.Fix Hacking Problems:People might able to hack so make a patch so they cant
.Add Modding Possibles,Add a mod creator for Ace Of Spades so a great community can form

This is how I want to happen.

When you enter a game you choose who you want to join. Green or Blue.

After you choose that you can choose one of four weapons.

1:Rifle
2:Submachinegun
2:shotgun
3:rocketlauncher

Then you get to choose another four items

1:grenade
2:handgun (pistol)
3:Portable machinegun
4:Mortar
and possibly a landmine

How I want the mortar to work is first to place it like the upcomming machine gun. When you rightclick it the map appears. You have to press one of the locations on the map like C4, B2 , A1 e.c.t

The area on the map wil shine in something like green if its in range, and red if not.

To fire the mortar you just press fire like any other weapon. The shells will automaticly go towards the location marked on the map. This with good Team play could be very effective and fun.

A bonus for the mortar would be that it fires bomb shaped grenades and it makes a noise like a bomb when approatching the target, if you know what I mean.

I'm going to be discussing the idea of - Levelling up [Gaining experience, powering up, upgrading equipment etc]


Here are my following reasons why we should add it.

1. Brings a whole new element into the game.
2. Actually gives a purpose in playing the game/looking forward to play it.
3. Separates the new with the veterans
4. It could add a whole new list of features to be added.

There could also be a beta with it. I personally would love to be apart of this beta and help out as much as I could.

I really love this game and I hope nothing but the best for it in the future!

I have no problem with a stat-tracking system, to check your Intel/CP caps, kills, time spent in-game, votekicks, etc, but adding the "better equipment" would just duck the game entirely.
Hell, maybe even adding some small achiviements of some sort, to give objectives for people to play(e.g 50 intel caps, 100 CPs capped, 25 Babel wins), if it does only that: No advantage, no better equipment, no separation between people that spend 6 hours a day playing the game and people with an actual life.

I think that all tracked stats should be ratios based on time played. That way no amount of experience will affect the stats and create elitism. An equally skilled year long player and a week long player will get the same "captures per hour" rate.

Hmm, I didn't thought of that. Maybe also a Win-Lose-Ratio, kinda like in Battlelog?

Well to counter the whole " Old player " vs " new player " we could have servers for new people then once you get a certain amount of kills or level. You can advance

Since all of the servers are player-made the amount of people boosting to get high rank would be crazy. Leveling up sucks

Vehicle Ideas:

Le Helicopter:

Passengers: 6

Passenger Roles:
Pilot(1): Flies the copter, can only fire the MG (Basically a little less damage than the SMG). He cannot fire the missiles.
Co Pilot(1): Fires 2 missile launchers. They are remotely guided.
Passengers(4): They sit on the side of the copter. They can fire the guns they have on them at ground targets (Air Snipes ftw)

Helicopter has 250 HP. Bullets do half the damage they do than normal (this is metal, not flesh). Best to either shoot the pilot, shoot the blades, or hit it with the RPG. The rocket launchers and MG are limited ammo, they must land near their tent, or a "landing zone" to get more ammo. If the pilot dies for any reason, the copter spins out of control until it crashes.

Tank:

Passengers: 5
Passenger Roles:
Driver(1): Drives the tank, that's it. Cannot fire any weapons.
Main Gunner(1): Fires the big gun, which does the same damage as the RPG.
Machine Gunner(1): Fires a small mg similar to the HMG.
Tank Escorts(2): They sit inside the tank, and can easily get in or out to take care of an RPGer just outside the tank's view.

Tanks have 300 HP. To destroy it, you must fire upon it with another tank, or an RPG. Bullets again do half damage. Grenades do the same amount of damage to tanks. HMG has limited ammo. The Main Gun requires 1 block per shot.

Jeep:

Passengers: 3
Passenger Roles:
Driver(1): Drives the jeep
HMG Gunner(1): Fires an HMG on the back of the jeep
Additional Passenger(1): Simply sits next to the driver

Jeeps are fat moving vehicles meant to support the large rush. They have 150 HP, and can be destroyed easily with a grenades, or firing at the fuel tank. The occupants are uncovered without any roof, so they are prime targets as well.

Inflatable Boat:

Passengers: 3
Passenger Roles:
Pilot(1): Pilots the boat
Additional Passengers(2): Simply sit in the boat, and provide cover fire with their weapons.

The water equivalent of jeeps, these fast moving water-craft are lightly armored with 100 HP. Occupants also receive no cover. A full SMG clip can disable the boat.

Map makers & server owners will decide what vehicle is in their map, so maps like pinpoint won't change unless the server wants it too. To switch positions in vehicles, press the arrows keys.
