Spy "class" (somewhat TF2-inspired)

Got a great new idea for the game?

Give the SMG a medkit and the shotty an ammo pack, rifle could have something else to encourage teamwork (dunno what), but other than that, it's not necessary to add more. (imho)

Weapon != Class

Or we could... throw away unneeded things like variable running speed, invisibility and disguises, and give everyone some sort of melee weapon... like maybe a spade or something... and let everyone on the field engage in stealth and/or melee kills whenever they want?

Just imagine it!

When he copies the other teams color, is there a way to tell the difference?

No. It will become op and people will co stanly use it, removing the numbers of people using guns, and thus rendering AoS not a fps

Instead, a Spy has a knife - which he can use to backstab his opponents for an instant kill. Using it otherwise works the same as a regular Spade would do.

A spade already one hits you.....so....the knife one hits regardless?....

Spy ruined TF2, absolutely ruined it- all the classes were clashing, it was fun, you were using all your video game skills jumping around a soldier trying to win and BOOM some newb backstabbed you and cloaked and ran off to gank more kills from better players.
No thanks, earn your kills or add a spectator mode- that's pretty much what spy from TF2 was, spectator mode with one hit kill hacks.
