AoS Ideas List
A. Idea 1: Reviving, When a team-mate dies and another team-mate sees his dead body he will be able to walk up to the dead body and hold E. A loading bar will show up on the bottom of the screen and once the gauge is filled the team-mate will revive. But when revived you will have half of your normal health.
B. Idea 2 (Game-Mode): Last Man Standing, This game-mode would have players on a death-match type of game-mode only everyone must eliminate each other until there is 1 man left on the battle field. In order to keep people from hiding/camping a small radius should show enemies around you. On your radar you could see enemies an X amount of blocks away from your area, enemies could see you too.
C. Idea 3 (Game-Mode): Hold the flag/intel, This game-mode would have a flag/intel in the middle of the map. Teams would compete to take a hold onto the flag/intel. Team that holds the flag the longest for an x amount of minutes/seconds wins the round. The bearer of the flag/intel would be slowed down from the weight of the flag/intel a decrease of speed by 25%. If by chance the bearer gets the flag/intel to the base they get an extra amount of time from returning it to the base, the flag/intel would then return to the center of the map. No squads allowed for the flag/intel holder.


These are ideas me and a friend came up with on the IRC. If you like any of these 3 ideas please tell me why you like it and tell me if you dislike a certain idea. The first one was from the friend and the last one was too.

For reviving,I think it should be something like,you can choose between 3 medkits and 3 grenades.You can use 1 whole medkit to revive someone (making it 3 revives per life) ,or you can drop it on the ground as a block,and it will heal anyone standing 2 blocks from it,healing 1 point of healtlh per second,for a total of 200 seconds.People with full healthl that stands around it wont heal,and will just use up the medkit.
Second one looks good.
I dont understand the last one.There is a CP on the middle of the map,and you need to cap it,like in CP,and hold that position for x time,or it is an intel,and the team that holds it for x time wins?

1. No classes, no reviving the dead. Both for very obvious reasons.

2. Doesn't make sense to me. Are you suggesting TDM which is already implemented via pyspades or that... I think it's usually called "search and destroy" or something along those lines mode that has been featured in many, many FPS?

3. Appears to be a cross between long time shooter favourites juggernaut and king of the hill, personally I don't think they can really work crossed in the way you suggested. The problem being the difficulty of balancing it without encouraging entire teams to sit just out of range of each other watching intel for any movement.

Are you guys clueless or just don't have eyes. If you don't know what last man standing is go play more FPS games, Last man standing is a deathmatch game-mode to where everyone hunts eachother until there is one player left. No respawning, just spectating. Grab the bag is like you said, almost king of the hill only the flag/intel holder has disadvantages.

Edit: the first idea was already approved by the AoS team anyway. Or they just liked it.
