I don't like this idea. This would make the game extremely out of balance. This would make really good players have an advantage to having better weapons which means more kills for them which will cause people who can't kill for shit (No offense to anyone) unable to even do anything. So in my opinion,

nonono its like...... the weps wont be overpowered it would be like it tf2 weps will have + and -
exemple m4a1 15%lower dmg + 20%rate of fire -5%movement speed
exemple awp -70% rate of fire -50%mag +40%dmg -35%movement speed
exemple ak 47 -15%rate of fire 20%biger recoil +25 dmg -10%movement speed
exemple p90 +25%rate of fire +40% biger mag +5%movement speed -15 dmg

all weps have some -

No, just no.

This game will turn into TDP4 team battles, the new guys have a glock while the old experienced guys have rockets and machine guns.

Contrary to popular belief on AoS, it actually IS possible to get a headshot WITHOUT hacking. Who would've guessed?

Creates elitism, to quote ChaosTLW.

No. No, and in case you didn't get it the first time...

Your idea is pretty awesome, but if you really want to have levelling up weapons, right now, play TF2.

NO!
I am in no way shape or form a supporter of unlockable weapons, skills, etc. If every skilled player gets better equipment and every new player gets crummy equipment, the skill gap grows even wider and the game becomes horribly imbalanced. Let's say a new player who only has the default SMG unlocked encounters a skilled player who has unlocked and equipped your tactical M16. The new player is already at a disadvantage of skill, and with an unlockable weapon system, he also becomes statistically disadvantaged, as his gun just doesn't pack the same level of firepower. It would make the game completely UN-accessible and downright frustrating to new players.
Now let me point out the other problems, the ones that lie in coding. Firstly, to program so many weapons alone and attempting to balance them is a daunting task, as is developing a balanced leveling system. Furthermore, AoS doesn't have a formal account system. Everybody who plays the game is pretty much logging in with a guest account, and there is no real good way of stat tracking. Think about it man, it just wouldn't work.
Ever.

There will be a 'formal account system' in the next update mate. ;) Perhaps the developers of the game have already been thinking about making a levelling system.
