NO!
I am in no way shape or form a supporter of unlockable weapons, skills, etc. If every skilled player gets better equipment and every new player gets crummy equipment, the skill gap grows even wider and the game becomes horribly imbalanced. Let's say a new player who only has the default SMG unlocked encounters a skilled player who has unlocked and equipped your tactical M16. The new player is already at a disadvantage of skill, and with an unlockable weapon system, he also becomes statistically disadvantaged, as his gun just doesn't pack the same level of firepower. It would make the game completely UN-accessible and downright frustrating to new players.
Now let me point out the other problems, the ones that lie in coding. Firstly, to program so many weapons alone and attempting to balance them is a daunting task, as is developing a balanced leveling system. Furthermore, AoS doesn't have a formal account system. Everybody who plays the game is pretty much logging in with a guest account, and there is no real good way of stat tracking. Think about it man, it just wouldn't work.
Ever.
