"The Wall" Game Mode

Very simple concept, would go on a map like pinpoint or classic gen

You have 15-20 minutes to build a fortification. There is a large unbreakable wall in the middle of the map. Can't dig under it, can't shoot through it. Forces you to either build or waste your time standing around. After those 20 minutes are up, wall comes down. You can either fight or continue working on the fortifications, however now you can come under enemy fire. Then the match continues like normal CTF.

TL;DR: SCREW YOU, big wall, build for 15 minutes, fight.

Any thoughts?

It would be nice. then we might get some teamwork in the beginning at least. Simply because the kill-mongers would help build and many of the builders could focus on combat and quick forward cover when the wall goes down.

good idea, similar things have been suggested before. I think it would be a really nice game mode

Great idea

Make not 1 but 2 parallel walls, making a no-man's-land of around 100 blocks between the 2 fortresses. That will prevent some tactics such as making a bridge toward enemy fortress to blitzkrieg them once the wall falls

This seems good, Also would prevent people from building right next to the wall and having an advantage of controlling the center.
