I know it sounds CoDish, but during the Vietnam war, US troops had grenade launchers attached to their SMG/Assault rifles.
The mechanics are that the GL`s take up your grenades. You can activate the GL by pressing G, the a targeting retucle for it appears as this:http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb57888/callofduty/images/9/90/Gl_4.png
It should drop a vast amount of blocks, 3 blocks for 1 and a half seconds. When in use cannot be aimed by sight. When you launch the mini grenade, it will cause alot of recoil, making you look up 20 degrees. You cannot shoot while running. You can only shoot when you are not moving, It has half the damage of a grenade, it makes a 2x2 wide hole. You get killed within 4 blocks of the grenade. Only SMG is able to have it. In the beginning of choosing weapon and you pick SMG, The game asks "Keep Grenades, Or Have GL(grenade launcher)". IMO, it will make people who use SMG look less nooby. It will balance out the weapons. Comment on what you think about this, could it be improved? Don`t like it? Would it be useful? Hope you read this idea.

The SMG is already the most versatile weapons, on par with the shotgun at close range and decent at long range if you know how to manage recoil. Adding a grenade launcher would overpower it.

Moreover, AOS is not supposed to be any particular war, but with modding you can make it any war since world war I (first war with widely used automatic weapons). Adding a grenade launcher to the SMG just to make it like vietnam... no, thanks

Ah yes, current grenades are enough to do the job. Just learn how to use them as shrapnels, you'll be surprised by their power

I would love to have grenade launchers in dis game. They will have more range then a grenade but less damage then a grenade.

WTF does everyone compare this game to CoD? Why not CounterStrike? Battlefield?

the RPG that is getting added is already pretty much a grenade launcher, I do not know if they are really needed because of that.

EDIT: The GL should slow you down 10% jogging(normal speed) and and 30% while running.And while shooting there is a delay of half a second. The reload is also about 5 to 8 seconds long.

It should take 5 seconds to shoot again and 10 to reload. It shouldnt be an independent weapon because griefers would have a new tool.

Well, it should have its own Kv6 file, so you can add any weapon like the RPG or Bazooka mods that you want.

This may sound like a stupid idea but, they should make it so you can attach one of the throwing grenades you have in your inventory on to yur rifle, and the idea of this is that the grenades will go WAAAY farther but not higher. They still have the same detonation timer though.
