No, I don't want this at all. I think that the current autoclimb slowness needs removal. Its very annoying to be moving so slowly and be so visible for getting shot when going up a mountain or hill.

But that is exactly the point of slowing autoclimb.
So that people are encouraged to build roads and tunnels instead of just climbing a hill and jumping into the enemy.

slower auto-climb is a good thought,though,when someone makes steps up a vertical slope then they would be headshotted before they get up,and we know that encourages squads,which many admins of servers dislike,

now, i do not think autoclimb should be fiddled around with,as at the moment u can walk up 1 block,
and if you slowed that down,then it wouldent be realistically possible to jump 2 blocks,

then we have tower steps and tunnel steps (to get in and out sometimes)

and if we had that then we would have to increase fall damage.

I think that playing around with this affair is useless,
and i know about useless :D

however,i do not believe that this is a matter we should be descussing,as it would make AOS unbalenced.

Autoclimb makes it too fast to go uphill, and too slow going downhill. It should be the other way around!
Going downhill you should gather momentum, and jumping could make it a fair amount faster the steeper you are running down.
Make going up slower - it should be between spacebar-spam and the current autoclimb. Currently you can float up a mountain way quicker than you could ever tunnel through it. Make it slower but make going down the other side quicker - would balance out.

This is excactly what I was thinking about, too. The complete removal may be annoying to some people, but this could balance it quite okay between our opinions.

I too, support TheGrandMaster's suggestion.

While I have only played 0.7, I fully understand the arguments against autoclimb and I think TGM's suggestion would best solve the problem.

For sure if you'l try to Run and Gun now you will find yourself respawning in a less than a few seconds. Climb down now is really slow, and that isn't kinda logical.

There were more tactics without auto-climb for sure. Now it's just run and gun. Hills are not hills anymore.

Have you played Assault cube , Cod , Soldat? All of them are Fast running shooters. So meaning you cant make a tactic and "fight with it" cause everyone just runs like mad and shoots each other in the head.

Slower Movement CS series BF series and OFP/Arma series Shoved that you must have tactic to win in this game's Cause "slower" movement is forcing players to make Tactics and Plans that they can easly realize without getting shooted by some run and gun noobs who can run / pass the whole map in 10 seconds making any tactics useless.

Because dude, without autoclimb, in default map at least, you were FORCED to do shit if you wanted to survive. If greenies didn't make forts, tunnels and bridges, blues would have sniped them to the edge of ragequitting, if blues didn't make sniper holes and small forts on the edges of the mountains, greenies would've sniped them off and fleed the mountains.

Now, there is no enforcement. Greens can just run up the hills in no time, shoot everyone once they're up. Blues react to this by shooting them ofc, but now it becomes just mad killing.

Seriously Gorman even if autoclimb was removed, it wouldn't affect you very much, as you seem to like to play only on those flatty island maps.

Auto-climb is a burden to AOS.i know it aint going to removed,so i need to live whit that.But make it atleast slower.

Dont make this game a fast paced,run and gun game.We allready have to many games like in the last 6 years,and all games are based on the COD style.(bleh)

I remember the hard days for fighting over a hill and fortify it.RIP
