G'day all, Paladin here.
Boring information first:
Name: Not Paladin
IGN: Paladin
Mumble: See above
IRC: Whatever random /nick I decide is funny at that particular moment
Steam: infernalpaladin
You may have met me in the IRC, or in game, but i'd like to take this opportunity to give you a bit of information about myself.
I'm an 18 year old trade assistant, working in a sheetmetal factory, and next year i'll be going to university to do a degree in Mechatronic Engineering. I enjoy playing shooters, racing games, and some western RPG's. I like to hang out with my mates, go drinking and party on weekends. I'm also building a pretty expensive gaming rig (c'mon graphics card, hurry up...) and will be using this to expand into games that are a bit more visuals-intensive. (like ARMA 3 when it's released :D )
Now let's stop beating about the bush here (get used to the Aussie sayings, it's something you'll hear a lot from me haha), and get into the real reason for me writing this clan application; I've been given the chance by DE to apply for The Bastion.
Now in the IRC chat i've had with DE, he wanted to know what my main motivations were for joining The Bastion. Well, there's a few of them:
I like the tight-knit style of your clan.
All of your members are good friends, this has made me feel like in the short time i've been hanging with you guys, I already know you really well. Plus; i'm already friends with Rezon, uvs, ExiTeD and (although we don't chat much nowadays) Skynet.
You're active in-game
One of the reasons I left USAB was because of the general lack of activity in AoS (among other things). The reason I picked out Bastion as a clan I would try to apply for, is because I see your members in game, playing and having a jolly old time. I want a clan that I can actually play games with, rather than a clan that I rarely even see.
You've got an active IRC/Mumble
Let me get this straight, Skype is nice and all, but man, that thing sucks my bandwidth like a vacuum cleaner set to 11. IRC on the other hand, is an internet-friendly way for me to keep in touch with you. I also have some fun times chatting with you on Mumble (stupid work making me miss Thursday night Mumble >:/ ) either just by itself, or with you in AoS.
Ok, seeing as this App is becoming an essay, i'll wrap it up by saying that as i've gotten to know you all, I can see that this clan is exactly what i've been looking for; a close group of cool individuals, who enjoy nothing more than hanging out, sharing common interests, and playing some games.
Have fun reading, Paladin.
