Black Screen

Hello. I get a black screen. After I installed it, I click on a server name to play. When I do, a black screen pops up and it says this in a box:

initdirectdraw failed 0x80004001

I dont know what it means but I have to run task manager to force quit it.

I am on a PC and have the latest java, it is java 7 so that might be it. Please help because I really want to play this EPIC game!

Try to re install it
It happened to me once but after
I reinstalled it it worked
Or just try another server.
I also noticed that having spaddlie or whatever
It is called installed increaces the errors and slo-
Ws it down. Hope this helps :-)

What os are you using? It may have a big impact on the proformance.

Im a guy, I looked at the wiki page for joining a game and at the bottum it says the error messages and what they mean
apparently, mine ment that my resolulution was off. Alll i had to do was change the config files were off. It works now. Heres the page:
