Firstly, are you clicking the links on this page? --> http://www.ace-spades.com/play/

Sometimes you have to try a few times if the server is full or just click other links until you get a connections. Also, occasionally the loading page locks up here as well, so I just tap the ESC key to close it.

If you're trying to run the game from C:\Ace of Spades then it won't work.

If the links from the website do not work for you, then go ahead and use Windowed Mode. First, locate the Ace of Spades folder. Then find "config.ini". After that, change the "windowed 0" to "windowed 1". Save. Tadaah.
