Severe Graphics issues!

Hello all.
I donwload ace of spades and when I got the initdirectdraw error I changed the resolution, but it did not go away. Then I installed the C++ thingy and the message stayed. I changed the view to windowed and now the thing is in black and white when my resolution in control panel is set to high colour, also the screen is cut in half and the camera is messed up. So I changed it to true colour and then it has colour, but the colours are all wrong, pink and green everywhere. I have windows xp sp2 and a intel 82815 grphics controller (yes I know its old but I thought this game had low spec requirements.)
